Coz I'm dreaming of you tonight ♪♫ ☺ |
1. You forget 90% of your dreams. Within 5 minutes of waking, half of your dream is forgotten. Within 10, 90% is gone.
2. Blind people also dream. People who became blind after birth can see images in their dreams. People who are born blind do not see any images, but have dreams equally vivid involving their other senses of sound, smell, touch and emotion.
3. Everybody dreams. Every human being dreams (except in cases of extreme psychological disorder). If you think, you are not dreaming, you just forget your dreams.
4. In our dreams, we only see faces that we already know. Our mind is not inventing faces – in our dreams we see real faces of real people that we have seen during our life but may not know or remember. We have all seen hundreds of thousands of faces throughout our lives, so we have an endless supply of characters for our brain to utilize during our dreams.
5. Not everybody dreams in color. A full 12% of sighted people dream exclusively in black and white. The remaining number dream in full color. Studies from 1915 through to the 1950s maintained that the majority of dreams were in black and white, but these results began to change in the 1960s. Today, only 4.4% of the dreams of under-25 year-olds are in black and white. Recent research has suggested that those changing results may be linked to the switch from black-and-white film and TV to color media.
6. Dreams are symbolic. If you dream about some particular subject it is not often that the dream is about that. Dreams speak in a deeply symbolic language. Whatever symbol your dream picks on it is most unlikely to be a symbol for itself.
7. Emotions; The most common emotion experienced in dreams is anxiety. Negative emotions are more common than positive ones.
8. You can have four to seven dreams in one night. On average, you can dream anywhere from one or two hours every night.
9. Animals dream too. Studies have been done on many different animals, and they all show the same brain waves during dreaming sleep as humans. Watch a dog sleeping sometime. The paws move like they are running and they make yipping sounds as if they are chasing something in a dream.
10. Body Paralysis.
Rapid eye movement (REM) sleep is a normal stage of sleep characterized by rapid movements of the eyes. REM sleep in adult humans typically occupies 20-25% of total sleep, about 90-120 minutes of a night’s sleep.
During REM sleep the body is paralyzed by a mechanism in the brain in order to prevent the movements which occur in the dream from causing the physical body to move. However, it is possible for this mechanism to be triggered before, during, or after normal sleep while the brain awakens.
11. Dream Incorporation. Our mind interprets the external stimuli that our senses are bombarded with when we are asleep and make them a part of our dreams. This means that sometimes, in our dreams, we hear a sound from reality and incorporate it in a way. For example you may be dreaming that you are in a concert, while your brother is playing a guitar during your sleep.
12. Men and women dream differently. Men tend to dream more about other men. Around 70% of the characters in a man’s dream are other men. On the other hand, a woman’s dream contains almost an equal number of men and women. Aside from that, men generally have more aggressive emotions in their dreams than the female lot.
13. Precognitive Dreams. Results of several surveys across large population sets indicate that between 18% and 38% of people have experienced at least one precognitive dream and 70% have experienced déjà vu. The percentage of persons that believe precognitive dreaming is possible is even higher, ranging from 63% to 98%.
14. If you are snoring, then you cannot be dreaming.
15. You can experience an orgasm in your dreams. You can not only have s e x as pleasurable as in your real life while dreaming, but also experience an o r g a s m as strong as a real one, without any wet results. The sensations felt while lucid dreaming (touch, pleasure and etc..) can be as pleasurable and strong (or I believe even stronger) as the sensations experienced in the real world.

I miss these girls. Too bad Janet was out of town when that photo was taken. One of the reasons I don't like vacation is because I can't bond with these ladies. Or should I say, it's hard to find time to set a date because we want to spend our summer in the province with our family. Don't worry ladies, one of these days we'll go out of town and we're gonna bond and talk a lot!! And of course take pictures! Courtesy of our lovely photographer Ate Cecille! :)
I haven't posted anything here because there's not much to talk about and I don't want to talk anything about school. But then last week, just a random day, the boyfriend and I went to the mall to just hang out and maybe shop for new clothes (this is just a joke! lol). I told him I want to watch Red Riding Hood. I heard from a friend that it's pretty good. Unfortunately, it's not showing in the theaters anymore. So we ended watching Source Code instead.
From Wikipedia:
Captain Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) is a decorated army helicopter pilot whose last memory is of his recent mission in Afghanistan, flying with his team while taking on enemy gunfire. He awakens on a train headed for Chicago with no memory of how he arrived there. His reflection is of a different man and his wallet says his name is Sean Fentress. Sitting across from him is a woman named Christina Warren (Michelle Monaghan) who seems to know him as Fentress. Before he can understand what is happening, a bomb goes off and destroys the train.
Stevens then awakens inside a chamber, where he is greeted through a computer screen by Capt. Colleen Goodwin (Vera Farmiga), an Air Force officer who tells Stevens that he is inside the Source Code, a program that allows him to take over someone's body in his or her last eight minutes of life. Earlier that day, a bomb exploded and destroyed a train headed into Chicago, the train that Stevens awoke on. Stevens' mission is to locate the bomb, discover who built it, and report back to Goodwin before the bomber can detonate a second larger bomb, a dirty nuclear device, in downtown Chicago, which could cause the deaths of millions of people.
It was a great movie. We really enjoyed it. At first the bf was hesitant to watch it because he never heard anything about it. I saw the trailer before and it looked interesting. I didn't know it's already showing in theaters until we went there. Since source code means another thing for both of us (I'm an IT student and he's one before), we thought it's something about computer programs which is kinda lame for a movie. Before we bought tickets, we checked some reviews first! Good thing my phone is handy that I can browse the net wherever I am. Well I guess we're both surprised that it's not what we thought it would be.
Source Code is an action thriller kinda like sci-fi movie. I think Jake Gyllenhaal did a great job here. He portrayed the soldier's character very well. The plot is unpredictable and the story is compelling. It made us wonder from the back of our minds at first but when we're already in middle of the movie, it's already full of excitement. The movie is also fast-paced so you won't get bored. The movie lasted after just an hour and a half. Kinda short but it's worth to watch!
I can't remember the last movie we watched in theaters so pretty much this is the first movie we watched in the theaters this year.
My phone died on me a week ago and I really need a new one! I won't say that I can't live without my cellphone, but it's just so inconvenient not to have one these days. So I checked out reviews about the cheap phones in the local market that would suit my budget. I was just looking for a simple cellphone with a good quality and would last maybe for a year or two. I ended up buying a touch screen phone instead and I wasn't disappointed that I got one.

This touch screen phone is my|phone T23 duo. It's key features are of course the touch screen, active dual-SIM, shortcuts to social networking sites, 2MP camera, Java capability, and Pinoy features. You can visit my|phone's website to see the full specifications and features.
I'm not yet ready to review this phone. I just bought it yesterday with the bf so I have to try it first for a couple of weeks. It was on sale so I bought this for only Php2488. For me it was a great deal for a touch screen phone. So far, the touch screen feature is responsive and the interface is user-friendly. I already installed Java apps and games and I was surprised that they really work! I even installed Opera Mini and did a little trick(thanks to the power of internet and forums) so that I can browse sites.
I'm still not used to the touch screen mode but soon I'll master it. lawl. I'm not sure of the phone's quality but I read positive reviews so I guess I shouldn't worry for now. We had my|phone cellphones and until now they are still working. I'm just thinking how long it will last since it was a cheap phone. Nevertheless, I'm happy to have it.
